In 2020 a friend of us ask for a repair of the de-airing of his R5 T2 motor compartment. When looking at the standard installation we found that the standard solution by Renault is less the optimal. While the performance models of Renault have a complete stripped down motor compartment with an optimised airflow the street legal versions have sort of compromise being implemented. The problem we found is, that the motor compartment de-airing (through the floor unit) is hindering the air exhaust coming from the gearbox and exhaust cover (into the right rear car wing) from a clean airflow. So instead of only repairing the decomposing hose we came up with a complete different solution. Find the details of our work here:
